    Vessel Logistics Agent

     

    Delisle Walwyn Group of Companies is seeking an experienced and hardworking individual to fill the position of Vessel Logistics Agent for their Port Services department. This position will report directly to the Department Manager.

     

    JOB SUMMARY

    Ensure the highest level of service delivery, whilst acting as Port Services’ first point of contact on the arrival of all vessels. The individual should provide exceptional customer service and sound communication skills when interacting with local vendors, management and crew members.

     

    Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to the following:

     

    Primary Responsibilities

         

    • Assist with coordinating Arrival/ Departures of all Vessels with the appropriate authorities (Pilots –Tugs – Port Authorities etc.) with the Expected Time of Arrival (ETA).
    • Board the Vessels with Authorities on arrival and departure and ensure all operations are handled smoothly.
    • Facilitate the requests of the crew and passengers thru transport, medical attention and immigration clearances.
    • Assist with vessel needs such as inspections, technical issues, logistics and documentation.
    • Ensure all vessels follow all government guidelines while in port.
    • File the necessary paperwork with local authorities as needed per ship.
    • Ensure that all correspondence is communicated in a professional and timely manner.
    • Assist with the collection and reconciliation of all outstanding accounts and other related financial statements.
    • Assist where necessary, with the clearing and other requests of the yacht services clientele.
    • Any other duties that may be assigned by the Department Manager.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Must have a minimum of five CXC (or equivalent) passes to include English and Mathematics.
    • Work experience in the tourism, shipping, or related industry would be an asset.
    • Proficient in Microsoft office suite (primarily Word and Excel).
    • Must be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
    • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Must be solution oriented, a team player, and able to show initiative.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record, owning a vehicle would be an asset.
    • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Must be detail oriented, display a professional attitude and be reliable.
    • Must be able to work on weekends and public holidays.
    • Exceptional customer service skills.
    • A foreign language would be an asset.

    Technical Sales Representative

     

    Delisle Walwyn Group of Companies is seeking an experienced and hardworking individual to fill the position of Technical Sales Representative for their Automotive Art department. This position will report directly to the department’s Manager.

     

    Job Summary:

                                       

    To manage and develop a portfolio of products and customer accounts, and to

    ensure  that sales, profitability  and growth that have been set are achieved.

    This will be done in keeping with the standards and policies of Automotive Art and

    Delisle Walwyn & Company Ltd.

     

    Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to the following:

     

    Primary Responsibilities: 

     

    • Direct selling of selected product categories to wholesale (resellers) and commercial customer groups.
    • Provide full merchandising service to the wholesale (resellers) customers and work closely with the customers to maximize the sales of entire product category.
    • Contribute ideas to the development of the annual marketing plan and the selection of products sold.
    • Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of products for which he or she is accountable.
    • Provide feedback and recommendations on how to improve sales and marketing processes in order to achieve better results.
    • Develop strong relationships with the company’s customers in the wholesale, commercial and professional segments of the market.
    • Conduct day-to-day sales calls on customers based on the established route schedule in order to entrench the company’s position with the existing customer base, as well as expand and develop new customers and distribution channels with a view to enhancing the sales and profitability of the company.
    • Keeping current on trends in the marketplace, and new product developments in order to optimize selling skills, and take advantage of potential opportunities.
    • Management of a portfolio of customers and products to achieve maximum profitability.
    • Contribute to the development of promotional strategies for key product categories.
    • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management.
    • Assist in organizing and conducting special product promotional events such as car care clinics and product demonstrations.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager.

     

    Requirements:

     

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Proficient in the use of computer software and Microsoft Office (primarily Word and Excel).
    • Must possess a valid drivers license and must have access to a vehicle.
    • Two (2) years of work experience in sales would be preferred.
    • Work experience in the automotive industry would be an asset.
    • CXC (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics preferred.
